About Us

Former Great British Bake Off hopeful (not very hopeful since she's not British) Missy Carr has applied her baking skills to the art of soap-making since mid-2020 via her original Latchkey Lathers company/online store. 

In early 2022, she decided that she wanted to open a glitter store of her own. The reason was simple: she has always been moderately obsessed with glitter.  Thus, Latchkey Lusters, a sister store, was born! Her goal was to provide unique and custom-mixed biodegradable glitter products for soap makers and crafters.

Missy had to take advice from Ross on Friends in early 2024 ("Pivot! PIVOT!!") and is so happy to be back in the bio-glitter game in 2026 after giving the store a glow-up and rebranding.

Missy lives in Tennessee with her son, two dogs, and cats and tempers her GenX workaholic tendencies (diagnosis: severe, cure: none) by spending time on various pursuits and hobbies with and without delightful friends.
